16. Daniel W. Fletcher

In this episode, Daniel W. Fletcher shares his Photographic Memory: photographs taken for his fashion brand’s AW19 campaign. Daniel is a London-based contemporary menswear designer, establishing his brand in 2015 after graduating from Central Saint Martins.

In 2020, Daniel was a contestant on the hugely successful Netflix series ‘Next in Fashion’ presented by Alexa Chung and Tan France, winning second place. The photography Daniel discusses was shot in Joshua tree, California by Fabien Kruszelnicki with styling by Ben Schofield and art direction by James West It was created when filming the Netflix show in a 2 day filming break using a location house as a base, as is customary in Daniel’s shoots.

As well as exploring how they created these images, Daniel shares his thoughts on career success, speaking out during the BREXIT campaign and the apprehension he felt on appearing in reality television.
